Cartnorm shows the lowest price of the 30 days before a discount next to every reduced product, as Article 6a of Directive 98/6/EC requires. This page gets you running in a few minutes.
Requirements
- WordPress 6.4 or newer
- WooCommerce (any version that supports HPOS works; block and classic checkout are both fine)
- PHP 7.4 or newer
1. Install the free plugin
In your WordPress admin go to Plugins › Add New, search for Cartnorm Omnibus, then click Install and Activate. You can also download it from WordPress.org.
Cartnorm starts recording prices the moment it is activated. A row is written only when a price actually changes, so the history stays small.
2. Check your country
Open WooCommerce › Settings › Products › Lowest price (Omnibus). Under Country rules, Cartnorm uses your store address by default. If your shop mainly sells to another country, choose that country instead. See Country rules for what changes per country.
3. Decide what to show while history is building
A brand-new installation has no 30-day history yet. The setting When history is too short decides what customers see in the meantime:
- Use the regular price (default): the reference is the regular price until enough history exists.
- Use the lowest price recorded so far.
- Show nothing.
If you used another Omnibus plugin before, import its history instead, and you have a full 30 days from day one.
4. Check the result
Open a product that is on sale. Under the price you should see a line such as “Lowest price in the 30 days before the discount: €49.99”. The crossed-out price and any percentage badge are now calculated from that price.
Then open WooCommerce › Omnibus check to see all reduced products at once and any that need attention.
Next steps
- Settings: every option explained.
- Where the notice appears: block, shortcode, Elementor and positions.
- Multi-currency (Pro): if your shop shows several currencies.
